My Therapeutic Approach
I offer audio phone advice/coaching services with the goal of giving individuals specific plans of action and step-by-step guidance for dealing with someone else's narcissistic control, manipulation or abuse. My deep desire is to glorify God and lead people into a greater understanding of Him, thus all the advice and coaching I offer is from a Christian and Biblical perspective. The Bible has a lot to say about narcissism, healthy and unhealthy relating, the power dynamics underlying abusive relationships, and what to do when we are faced with narcissistic control, manipulation, and abuse. It is packed with Scriptural instruction that teaches us how to stand up for ourselves and/or those whom we love, and how to keep ourselves sane and strong in the process. No one was created to be controlled, manipulated, or abused. We were created to love and be loved, by God and by the people in our lives. My hope and prayer is that God uses my services to help victims of narcissistic control, manipulation, and abuse experience empowerment and freedom, as well as lead them into a deeper understanding of their God-given worth and preciousness.
My Credentials and Experience
I am triple certified as a Board Certified Professional Christian Counselor, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with the state of Florida and have been in private practice in the Tampa Bay Area since 2009. I have extensive training and experience in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and use a combination of both throughout my coaching and writing. I consistently have a waiting list; however, I can typically get new clients in within four weeks of an appointment request.
